Pink Windows 7 Folders by Drawder Pink Windows 7 Folders by Drawder
This is the Pink Version of my Transparent Marble Windows 7 Folder Icon.
Out of a request from foxxyn8 [link] I changed the color to blue, but I just continued on making it in 12 different colors.
You can get all the other colors from my gallery, or click on these links:

-[link] RED
-[link] ORANGE
-[link] YELLOW
-[link] GREEN
-[link] BLUE
-[link] DARK BLUE
-[link] PURPLE (Original One)
-[link] VIOLET
-[link] PINK
-[link] BROWN
-[link] BLACK
-[link] WHITE

Use these non-commercially.
If there's no link, it's because I haven't work on it yet, but it will soon arrive.

The icons come in .ICO format and in .PNG format in:

256x256 px
128x128 px
64x64 px
48x48 px
32x32 px
16x16 px

I'm still attempting to make this to be used in MAC systems too, but I really haven't got much time to do this, between school and work :S I will do it eventually.

Last time I updated these icons including the folder separated in two, so it can be used in Live Folders (using a good icon program, this means you can change the default folder icons of your computer and still have the thumbnail feature available with these new icons). This and all the other icons will include this.

Also a screen shot of my desktop with windows showing how it looks in action!.
Check it out!

Anyway, hope you like it, and if you like it and download it, at least leave me a comment letting me know what you think, I like reading comments so I can improve myself, so please at least say Thanks (courtesy should always be a first).

Well, til' next time

Right click the icon you want to change, click open folder location. Then right click it again, then personalize, or settings. Click the tabs until you find a picture of the icon. Click change icon, and browse until you find the folder picture. If it rejects JPG, look for a website or program, like converticon.com , and convert it to ICO, then try again. Hope this helps! :)

You need a program that changes the default folder, like Stardock IconPackager... other than this, I don't know what other could do the job. Hope it helps.

How I can change default Live folder in Windows 7 with your icon? But, without using proprietary app - IconPacker :D

Thanks in advance :)

I actually made some investigation on this after reading your comment. Sadly, I wasn't able to find much. One method would be changing the icons inside the imageres.dll file, which contains most of the default icons for the operating system. I tried to do this once, but I was unsuccessful. There might be better way, I just don't know it yet.
And other than this, I got to say you have to use a third party program to change such icons.
One thing it might work, could be changing the icons inside the regedit.exe application the operating system has. I used to change most of my icons of specific file types this way, before using Icon Packager. I still use it sometimes, but I haven't found the exact location in the system where the default folder icons are, I don't even know if there's one :S
Believe me, I have done my research a lot, but I found a reliable way, so I stopped months ago. I found a website that told me how to do it this last method, but I'm gonna have to find it again. I'll reply you back as soon as I find it, and as soon as I get my computer back from fixing... again! (They didn't connect the webcam when they changed my screen, so I had to send it back).

Thanks again for commenting, I'm glad to help, even if just a little, hehe. Take Care.

:omfg: Wow!!! Thank you so much for this long reply... I really appreciate it. :)

So for now I can only use IconPacker...

OK I'm waiting Regedit.exe exact location for modify default folder icon :D

Thanks again for help... ;)

I found two websites that tells you the use of Regedit.exe, to change file icons. It's quite simple.
Sadly, I tried this myself and attempted to find the path to where to change all the default folder icons, but I could only find the one for the open folder.
Maybe you can find something to do with this tutorials, who knows:

Hope this helps somehow, but at least you can change other file icons :) hehe.
Thanks for commenting, and good luck.
